Polly Tournquist

Polly Tournquist is a Mountaineer colonist living at the time of crew rule over Plateau in 2342.

Polly is described as being small in stature (She is 5'1), with long raven black hair, brown skin and brown eyes, of a somewhat muscular build (in comparison with crew women) with callused hands. Castro thinks she looks older than her age.

Polly was born in 2320/2319 in Delta Plateau as the firstborn of a family of colonists loyal to the crew. She was raised in Delta and graduated from Colonist University where she met Jayhawk Hood with whom she would eventually formed a relationship. It was around this time that she joined the Sons of Earth. Polly would eventually work at the Delta Retransmitting Power Station.

Polly would become part of the inner core of the Sons of Earth, with intimate knowledge of the Hospital. It's possible that she also received special physical training as part of the inner core as demonstrated by her physical ability and knowledge of fighting.

Polly becomes a central figure surrounding the arrival of ramrobot #143 to Plateau, being the only colonist with knowledge of the content of the ramrobot's capsule. In the mayhem that this arrival causes Polly was captured by Implementation but was eventually freed by Matt Keller. After regaining her freedom Polly attempted to take control of the Planck and use it to cause a fusion explosion that would destroy Alpha Plateau. She was unsuccessful in this and died after the Planck fell over the edge of the plateau into the void with her unconscious.
