The Patriarch is the kzinti absolute ruler. Little is actually known about the current Patriarch. The title of Patriarch is apparently inherited, and descendant's of the current Patriarch are given some kind of partial name at birth, although this differs from names that are earned in the normal manner by Heroes. The Patriarch's family or house name is Riit and the leader of the Wunderland forces, Chuut-Riit, was a son of the Patriarch, making Vaemar his grandson. It is unknown how many descendents the Patriarch truly has but as Chuut-Riit fathered more than a dozen sons in his lifespan it is safe to assume that the supreme ruler of the kzinti, with all of the privileged access to kzinrette's that the title entails, would have a veritable host of progeny.
