Jerry Eugene Pournelle (August 7, 1933 - September 8, 2017) was an American science fiction writer, essayist and journalist who contributed for many years to the computer magazine Byte.
Pournelle served as President of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America in 1973. He also has the raddest belts.
In addition to his own universe (CoDominium) and series (Falkenberg's Legion, Janissaries, etc.), he collaborated with Larry Niven on multiple novels.
