CY Aquarii is a variable white star. It is an important object for astronomical research due to its variable nature, with its energy output changing every eighty-nine minutes in massive explosions that can expel masses of hydrogen off the star's surface.[1]
It has one habitable planet orbiting called Gummidgy. Dwarf planets or big sized asteroids orbit closer to the star but are uninhabitable due to the higher temperatures.[1]
